Zand Fat XXL – An XXL Pike Lure for Big Winter Pike

The Zand Fat XXL is an XXL pike lure designed for targeting big pike, especially during the colder months. Its size, weight and slow action make it particularly effective when large predators are less active.

With a slow linear retrieve, the Zand Fat XXL combines a pronounced rolling and wobbling action. This attractive movement can trigger strikes from large predators without requiring a fast retrieve.

A Slow Action Designed for Big Pike

The weight and elongated profile of the Zand Fat XXL create strong water displacement at the front of the body. At the same time, its tail moves at a much slower pace. This combination produces a powerful yet controlled swimming action.

The lure can therefore be retrieved slowly while maintaining an attractive action. This is particularly useful for winter pike fishing, when large fish often prefer an easier target.

A Versatile Unrigged Shad

The unrigged version of the XXL pike lure was designed to offer maximum versatility. Anglers can choose the rig that best suits their fishing technique and conditions.

The Zand Fat can be mounted on a lighter or heavier jig head. It can then be used for different depths and fishing situations, both with a linear retrieve and in vertical fishing.

Its compact, oval-shaped body features horizontal asymmetry. This design gives the lure a particularly natural swimming action. The ribbed lateral line also increases vibrations and adds a distinctive visual signature in the water.

A Large Paddle for a Controlled Rolling Action

The large paddle tail is reinforced at its base to control the rolling action. Its movement is softer than the one produced by the Shad GT. As a result, the Zand Fat can swim more slowly while maintaining an attractive action.

This makes it especially useful when predators are not very active. It is also a strong option when a slow and subtle presentation is required.

Thanks to the combination of its compact body, powerful paddle and smooth action, the Zand Fat can be retrieved both slowly and quickly without losing its stability.

The Lure to Use When Others Stop Working

The Zand Fat is particularly effective when fish become difficult to catch. When other lures fail to produce results, its slow and natural action can offer a different presentation.

Its 13 available colours cover a wide range of fishing conditions. Natural colours are ideal for discreet presentations. Flashy colours provide greater visibility. Slightly transparent colours are also available for clear water.
