Description
Craw: a realistic crayfish lure for predators
The Craw is a realistic crayfish lure designed for technical predator fishing. Its detailed body, claws and antennae imitate a real crayfish. It is particularly suited to black bass, but also targets perch, pike and zander.
Available in 8 and 14 cm, the Craw adapts to different fishing situations. The 8 cm version is particularly suitable for perch and black bass. The 14 cm version provides more volume for targeting large pike and zander feeding on crayfish close to the bottom.
An active crayfish imitation on the bottom
The Craw is not designed for a standard cast-and-retrieve retrieve. Its action relies mainly on small hops and pauses on the bottom. This technique imitates the movements of a crayfish moving or defending itself.
During the fall, the claws and antennae remain active. They also continue to move during pauses. The skirt adds extra vibrations and increases the lure’s volume. Therefore, even when the Craw is stationary, it remains attractive to predators.
A crayfish lure designed for Texas rigging
The Craw features a dorsal slot designed for Texas rigging. This setup allows anglers to fish effectively around heavy cover such as weed beds, branches and underwater obstacles.
A weighted Texas rig speeds up the fall and allows anglers to fish deeper. In contrast, an unweighted Texas rig provides a slower and more gliding presentation. Anglers can therefore choose the rig according to the depth and fish activity.
Several rigging options for different techniques
The main advantage of this crayfish lure is its versatility. The Craw can be mounted on a jighead for bottom fishing. It can also be used on a jig, particularly for dedicated black bass fishing.
The 14 cm version can also be used as a trailer on a spinnerbait or chatterbait. It adds volume and provides an additional crayfish profile to the rig.
Two sizes for different predators
- 8 cm: ideal for black bass and perch fishing with a compact presentation.
- 14 cm: designed for pike and zander when fish are feeding on crayfish close to the bottom.
Thanks to its two sizes and different rigging options, the Craw adapts to many situations. It is particularly useful when predators become cautious or less active and a slower presentation is needed.
A crayfish lure for precise fishing
The Craw is designed for anglers looking for a slow and precise presentation. Small hops, controlled falls and long pauses allow anglers to effectively explore the bottom. This approach is particularly useful when predators are feeding close to the bottom.
