Poppy – A Pike Popper for Heavy Cover

The pike popper Poppy is a floating surface lure designed for fishing around heavy cover. Its shape and rigging allow you to explore difficult areas. You can therefore fish under branches, close to obstacles and around dense vegetation.

Poppy features a cylindrical body that creates a distinctive “POP” sound during the retrieve. This sound helps attract the attention of predators nearby. In addition, its tail improves the lure’s stability. It also adds a realistic touch to the presentation.

A Popper Designed for Difficult Areas

Poppy is rigged with a Texas hook. This setup helps reduce the risk of snags around obstacles. The lure can therefore pass under branches and over vegetation.

Poppy is particularly well suited to skipping. This technique allows the lure to slide under branches and obstacles along the bank. You can therefore reach areas where predatory fish often find shelter.

Thanks to its floating material, the pike popper Poppy stays on the surface between retrieves. You can then add pauses to your retrieve. A few rod-tip movements will bring the “POP” sound back into action.
