Zand Curly – A Shallow Water Pike Lure

With its curly tail and 24 cm version, the Zand Curly is an effective shallow water pike lure for targeting big predators. Its smooth action displaces plenty of water and can trigger strikes even when pike are difficult to catch.

Designed mainly for freshwater fishing, the Zand Curly is a versatile soft lure. It is particularly effective with linear retrieves and slow presentations. Its tail starts moving with the slightest movement and remains attractive even when the lure is almost stationary.

A Curly Tail That Works Almost at Rest

The Zand Curly features a thin and flexible tail extended by a veil-shaped paddle. This design allows the lure to start moving with the slightest retrieve.

During pauses, the tail continues to move naturally. The lure can therefore be fished very slowly while maintaining an attractive action. This is particularly useful when predators are inactive or cautious.

Its smooth swimming action creates subtle vibrations in the water. As a result, the Zand Curly provides a discreet presentation while remaining attractive enough to interest large predators.

Ideal for Slow Linear Retrieves and Stop & Go

The shallow water pike lure Zand Curly can be used with a linear retrieve. A slow presentation keeps the lure in the strike zone while taking full advantage of its natural action.

The stop & go technique is also particularly effective. Alternate between slow retrieves and pauses of different lengths. During these pauses, the flexible tail continues to move and keeps attracting predators.

This presentation is especially useful when fish are not very active. It also allows anglers to efficiently cover shallow areas in search of pike.

A Lure for Difficult Predators

Thanks to its flexible tail, smooth action and recommended light weights, the Zand Curly provides a natural presentation. It is therefore an excellent option when predators refuse faster-moving lures.

The Zand Curly is a versatile lure for both zander and pike fishing. In particular, the 24 cm version is an excellent shallow water pike lure for slow retrieves and stop & go presentations.
