Description
SOSY – An articulated lure designed for pike and black bass
The Sosy is an articulated soft lure specially designed for targeting pike and black bass, and is primarily intended for linear retrieves.
Thanks to its segmented body, the Sosy produces an articulated, sinusoidal swimming action that reproduces the natural movements of a fish in motion. Its design and shape have been carefully developed to provide a smooth, realistic and attractive action, even at slow retrieve speeds.
Its treble hook rig, combined with forward weighting and head weighting, provides optimal lure balance and maintains a natural swimming action during the retrieve.
A swimming action adaptable to different depths
The Sosy can swim from a depth of 30 cm, allowing it to be used in the upper layer of the water, particularly close to the surface.
Its swimming depth varies according to the retrieve speed:
- Fast retrieve: the Sosy rises and swims close to the surface.
- Slow retrieve: it gradually sinks deeper into the water column.
A pear-shaped weight clip can also be added to adjust the swimming depth and further adapt the lure to the conditions encountered.
An evolution of the Sosy concept
With this new Sosy, Delalande continues to innovate around the concept.
Compared with the previous version of the Sosy dating back to the beginning of the 21st century, the diving lip has been removed. It tended to slow down the swimming action and make the lure’s behaviour less natural.
This new design allows the Sosy to deliver a smoother, freer and more natural swimming action. The goal is to provide a more subtle and realistic presentation, helping to reduce fish wariness, particularly in heavily pressured fishing areas.
Finally, thanks to a wide range of colours, the Sosy can be adapted to different light conditions, water clarity and fish activity levels.
Sosy: a natural swimming action, smooth behaviour and a design engineered to trigger strikes.
